Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2007 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:
Health Department, Police Department, Department of Public Works-Infrastructure and Department of Public Works-Water Works.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 060494 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Health Department, Administration Division” add footnote “(X)” to one position of “Human Resources Analyst Senior”; under “Healthy Behaviors and Healthcare Access Division, Milwaukee Breast Cancer Awareness Program”, delete one position of “Public Health Educator II (X)(JJ)” and add one position of “Public Health Educator II (X)(J)(JJ)” and add footnote “(GG)” to the following positions: one position of “Well Women’s Program Manager (U)(X)(Y)”, one position of “Office Assistant II (JJ)”, one position of “Public Health Nurse (X)(G)(KK)” and one position of “Public Health Educator II (X)(J)(JJ)” and add footnote “(GG)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/31/09 unless the Breast Cancer Awareness - Milwaukee Foundation Grant from the Milwaukee Foundation, is extended”; under “Disease Control and Prevention Division”, add the title “Plaintalk Program” and add one position of “Health Project Coordinator-Plaintalk (X)(NNN)(QQQ)” and amend footnote “(NNN)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/28/07 unless the Plain Talk Initiative - United Way is extended. Partially funds one position of Health Project Coordinator - Plaintalk” and add footnote “(QQQ)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/31/07 unless the Plaintalk Grant - Milwaukee Foundation is extended. Partially funds one position of Health Project Coordinator - Plaintalk”; under “Bioterrorism Grant - Focus CRI/Pandemic Influenza (P)”, delete one position of “Public Health Nurse (X)(P)(G)” and one position of “Health Project Coordinator - Immunizations (P)(X)(DD)”; under "Immunization Action Plan Grant (DD), add one position of “Health Project Coordinator - Immunizations (X)(DD)”; under “Laboratory Services Division, Bioterrorism - Lab Grant (Q)”, add footnote “(P)” to one position of “Microbiologist II (Q)” and amend footnote “(P)” to read as follows: “To expire 08/31/08 unless the Bioterrorism Focus CRI and Pandemic Flue Grants are extended. Also may partially fund Public Health Emergency Response Planning Coordinator and a Microbiologist III”; under “Home Environmental Health Program, Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (W)”, delete one position of “Health Services Assistant II (X)(W)” and amend footnote “(W)” to read as follows: “To expire 06/30/08 unless the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant is extended”; under “Family and Community Health Services, Maternal and Child Health and Home Environmental Health Division”, delete the title “Child Care Preventive Health Services Grant (LLL)” and one position of “Public Health Nurse (X)(LLL)” and delete footnote “(LLL)” in its entirety; amend footnote “(YY)” to read as follows: “To expire 09/29/08 unless the Childhood Immunization Disparities Grant is extended.”
Under “Police Department, Operations Decision Unit” amend footnote “(F)” to read as follows: “Truancy Abatement Grant: Six positions to expire 6/30/2008 unless grant funding from the Milwaukee Public Schools continues.”
Under “Department of Public Works, Infrastructure Services Division” Field Operations-Construction Decision Unit, Construction Management”, delete one position of “Inspection Specialist (X).”
Under “Department of Public Works - Water Works, Engineering Organization, Engineering Design”, delete three positions of “Civil Engineer III (X)” and add three positions of “Civil Engineer II (X).”
Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 3. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
