Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council Resolution #121067 relative to acceptance and funding of the 2013 Women, Infants and Children's Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health Services. The purpose of the project is to prevent nutrition-related health problems and to improve the health status of low-income, at-risk pregnant or breast-feeding women, infants and children up to the age of five years.

Body
Whereas, Common Council Resolution #121067 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the 2013 Women, Infants and Children's Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for the purpose of preventing nutrition-related health problems and to improve the health status of low-income, at-risk pregnant or breast-feeding women, infants and children up to the age of five years.  This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $1,513,737; and
 
Whereas, the total expenditures of this program is decreased by $109,740 for a total of $1,403,997 of which the entire amount is provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant changes as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2013 Positions Ordinance C.C. File Number 120741, should be amended as follows:

DELETE:
Breastfeeding Peer Counselor (X)(C)                  2 positions
