Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2007 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:
Department of Administration-CBGA, Common Council-City Clerk, Mayor, Police Department and Health Department
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 060494 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2007 - December 31, 2006):
Under “Department of Administration, Community Development Grants Administration Division”, delete one position of “UASI Homeland Security Director (B)(Y)” and add one position of “Homeland Security Coordinator (B)(Y).”
Under “Common Council - City Clerk, Central Administration Division”, delete one position of “Human Resources Coordinator” and add one position of “Council Administration Manager.”
Under “Mayor, Administration”, delete two positions of “Staff Assistant to the Mayor (Y)” and add two positions of “Staff Assistant (Y).”
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 060494 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Health Department, Family and Community Health Services”, add the title “Milwaukee Nurse-Family Partnership Program (PPP)” and add two positions of “Public Health Nurse (1.75 FTE)(X)(G)(PPP)” and add footnote “(PPP)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/31/07 unless the Milwaukee Nurse-Family Partnership Program from the University of Wisconsin-School of Medicine and Public Health is extended”; delete the title ”Health and Safety in Child Care Grant (QQ)” and add title “Childcare Provider Assistance Program (QQ)” and add one position of “Public Health Nurse (X)(QQ)” and amend footnote “(QQ)” to read as follows: “To expire 09/30/07 unless the Childcare Provider Assistance Program is extended.”
Under “Police Department, Operations Decision Unit”, amend footnote “(N)” to read as follows: “Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant: Position authority to expire 12/31/07, unless the Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant is extended.
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2007 (December 31, 2006).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
