Title

Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2006 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance makes changes to the rates of pay to the following departments:

City Attorney, Common Council-City Clerk, Department of Employee Relations, Department of City Development, Health Department and Library.

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 050456 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2006 - January 1, 2006):

 

Under Salary Grade 004, add the titles “Health Project Coordinator-CRI” and “Health Project Coordinator-MCHVP.”

 

Under Salary Grade 007, add the title “MCHVP Program Manager.”

 

Under Salary Grade 010, delete the title “Fiscal Review Manager” and add the title “Research and Analysis Manager.”

 

Part 2. Section 5 of ordinance File Number 050456 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2006 - January 1, 2006):

 

Under Pay Range 425, delete the name “Faranda Wragg” from footnote “7/.”

 

Part 3. Section 8 of ordinance File Number 050456 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2006 - January 1, 2006):

 

Under Pay Range 593, add the title “Health Information Specialist.”

 

Part 4. Section 23 of ordinance File Number 050456 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 906, delete footnote “1/” in its entirety and add the following footnote: “1/ Salary advancements to the next succeeding step to be after 520 hours of successful service upon recommendation by the department.”

 

Part 5. Section 25 of ordinance File Number 050456 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows  (Effective Pay Period 1, 2006 - January 1, 2006):

 

Under Pay Range 978, amend footnote “8/” to read as follows: "Employees in this title who are designated to hold the Type C Contractors Electrical License for the City shall receive an additional $1.50 per hour." 

 

Part 6.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 7.  The provisions of Parts 1, 2 3 & 5 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2006 (January 1, 2006).

 

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 8.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
