Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2019 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:
Department of Administration - Purchasing Division, Assessor’s Office, Department of City Development, Fire and Police Commission, Library, Police Department
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 180629 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Assessor’s Office, Systems and Administration Division”, delete the line that reads:
“Office Assistant III ................................................................................................................ 1”
Under “Department of City Development, General Management and Policy Development Decision Unit, Commercial Corridor Development”, add footnote designation “(X)” to one position of “Economic Development Specialist (Y)”.
Under “Real Estate Development”, add footnote designation “(Y)” to one position of “Program Assistant II (X)”.
Under “Fire and Police Commission”, delete one position of “Research & Policy Analyst” and add one position of “Research and Policy Analyst”.
Under “Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit, Administrative Bureau”, add footnote designations “(X)” and “(Y)” to one position of “Early Childhood Program Director”.
Under “Auxiliary Positions”, delete two positions of “IT Support Specialist” and delete one position of “Library Marketing Specialist”.
Under “Information Technology Section”, add two positions of “IT Support Specialist”.
Under “Communications & Marketing Division”, add one position of “Library Marketing Specialist”.
Under “Branch Library Services Decision Unit, Auxiliary Positions”, delete two positions of “Librarian Associate”.
Under “Branch Library Services Pool”, add two positions of “Librarian Associate”.
Under “Central Library Decision Unit, Auxiliary Positions”, delete two positions of “Librarian Associate”.
Under “Central Library Services Pool”, add two positions of “Librarian Associate”.
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 180629 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 5, 2019 - February 24, 2019):
Under “Department of Administration - Purchasing Division, Procurement Services”, delete one position of “Procurement Administrator (Y)” and add one position of “Procurement Manager (Y)”.
Under “Library, Administration Services Decision Unit, Information Technology Section”, delete one position of “Library Technology Specialist (X)” and add one position of “Library Technology Specialist - Bilingual (X)”.
Under “Branch Library Services Decision Unit, Branch Library Services Pool”, delete five positions of “Library Circulation Assistant I” and add five positions of “Library Circulation Assistant I - Bilingual”.
Under “Police Department, Information Technology Division”, delete one position of “Accounting Assistant I”, add one position of “Helpdesk Specialist II”, and add one position of “IT Project Coordinator”.
Under “Records Management Section”, delete one position of “Police Records Assistant Manager”.
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 5, 2019 (February 24, 2019).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
