Substitute resolution amending Common Council File Number 240220 relative to acceptance and funding of the 2021 - 2024 Immunizations Cooperative Agreement Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Analysis
This substitute resolution amends Common Council File Number 240220 accepting and funding the 2021 - 2024 Immunizations Cooperative Agreement Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The amendment adds additional position authority for 2025. The purpose of the grant is to provide COVID-19 vaccine in an accessible, culturally relevant manner to under served and/or under vaccinated communities.

Whereas, Common Council File Number 240220 authorized the Health Department to accept and fund the 2021 - 2024 Immunizations Cooperative Agreement Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services for the purpose of providing COVID-19 vaccinations; and
Whereas, this grant provided for a grantor share total of $997,500, and a City share total of $0; and
Whereas, the position authority for this program is increased by 0.5 FTE; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81-5c; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2025 Positions Ordinance C.C. File Number 240765, should be amended as follows:
