Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1998 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Health Department, Public Health Services Decision Unit, ASSIST Grant", add one position of "Site Coordinator (X)" and amend footnote "(AA)" as follows: "To expire 9/30/98 unless the ASSIST Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services, is extended." and under "Consumer Protection and Environmental Health Decision Unit, Enforcement and Training Services Division", delete one position of "Enforcement and Training Manager (X)(Y)" and add one position of "Health Enforcement Specialist (X)(Y)."
Under "Department of Public Works-Infrastructure Services Division, Field Operations-Street/Bridges Operations Decision Unit", delete one position of "Infrastructure Operations Manager (Y)" and add one position of "Infrastructure Field Operations Manager (Y)"; under "Information and Records", delete one position of "Administrative Specialist-Senior" and add one position of "Field Operations Inspection Specialist"; under "Auxiliary Positions", delete one position of "Information and Records Inspection Specialist" and add one position of "Field Operations Inspection Specialist" and under "Sewer Maintenance Fund, Field Operations", delete one position of "Sewer Services Engineer" and add one position of "Sewer Services Manager."
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 23, 1997 - November 2, 1997):
Under "Department of Public Works-Buildings and Fleet Division, Operations Section, Auxiliary Positions", add 221 positions of "Snow Driver."
Part 3. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 3, 1998 - January 25, 1998):
Under "Fire Department, Supporting Services Decision Unit", delete one position of "Fire Lieutennt" and add one position of "Fire Captain."
Under "Department of Public Works-Infrastructure Services Division, Transportation Decision Unit, Major Projects", delete one position of "Drafting Technician IV" and add one position of "Engineering Drafting Technician IV"; under "Structural Design", delete one position of "Drafting Technician IV" and add one position of "Engineering Drafting Technician IV"; and under "Maps and Drafting", delete three positions of "Drafting Technician V", seven positions of "Drafting Technician IV" and seven positions of "Drafting Technician II" and add three positions of "Engineering Drafting Technician V", seven positions of "Engineering Drafting Technician IV" and seven positions of "Engineering Drafting Technician II."
Under "Sewer Maintenance Fund, Drafting", delete three positions of "Drafting Technician V", seven positions of "Drafting Technician IV" and six positions of "Drafting Technician II" and add three positions of "Engineering Drafting Technician V", seven positions of "Engineering Drafting Technician IV" and six positions of "Engineering Drafting Technician II" and under "Auxiliary Personnel", delete two positions of "Drafting Technician II" and add two positions of "Engineering Drafting Technician II."
Part 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 5. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 23, 1997 (November 2, 1997).
The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 3, 1998 (January 25, 1998).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 6. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
