Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
7th Aldermanic District
N. 42nd St. - 50’ South of W. Courtland Ave. to 50’ North of W. Courtland Ave. (SM495260019) File Number 252185: Relaying storm sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $39,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $51,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
W. Keefe Ave. - N. 53rd St. to N. 60th St. (SM495250061) File Number 251012: Relaying sanitary and storm sewers. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $778,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $798,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
N. Sherman Blvd. - W. Bernhard Pl. to W. Townsend St. (SM495250080) File Number 251490: Relaying storm sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $166,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $181,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.

W. Lapham Blvd. - S. 10th St. to S. 16th St. (ST216260105) File Number 251490: Asphalt surface overlay and ADA ramps. (Nonassessable High Impact Paving Fund -- $550,000) The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $565,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026-2027 construction season.
W. Lapham Blvd. - S. 16th St. to S. 10th St. (ST260260002) Installing protected bike lanes. (Nonassessable Bike Infrastructure Fund -- $225,000) The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $225,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
