Body

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Housing Authority) solicited sealed proposals by Official Notice Number 58114 during the period August 4, 2023 through September 8, 2023 for General Contractors for Various Repairs at Scattered Sites; and

 

WHEREAS, five sealed proposals were received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CDST) on September 8, 2023; and

 

WHEREAS, the sealed proposals were received and publicly opened on September 8, 2023, during which the proposal procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

 

WHEREAS, AJ Development Group LLC, Insulation Technologies Inc., Lakeside Remodeling LLC, and Integral Construction and Development LLC, the four highest ranked respondents, each a qualified and competent firm, submitted proposals that satisfied the criteria enumerated in the request for proposals, and

 

WHEREAS, AJ Development Group LLC, Insulation Technologies Inc., Lakeside Remodeling LLC, and Integral Construction and Development LLC each submitted a schedule of proposed fees, its best and final offer, for services to be rendered on an as-needed basis; therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the proposals of and entering into contracts with AJ Development Group LLC, Insulation Technologies Inc., Lakeside Remodeling LLC, and Integral Construction and Development LLC as General Contractors for Various Repairs at Scattered Sites in the amount of $175,000.00 not-to-exceed for each firm for an initial period of one year (with renewal options for up to four additional years) for services on an as-needed basis, or $700,000.00 not-to-exceed total award; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from the Capital Fund Program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Housing Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contracts for and on behalf of the Housing Authority; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any change orders including time of performance are needed, the Chairperson and Secretary-Executive Director may approve such request without any further action of the Commissioners of the Housing Authority; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Commissioners and the Secretary-Executive Director of the Authority be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
