This ordinance defines tattoo establishments and makes tattoo establishments a special use in local business, commercial service and regional shopping districts and the following central business districts: major retail, office and service, and mixed activity.

BODY:

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 295-7-177.5 of the code is created to read:

295-7. Definitions.

177.5.      TATTOO ESTABLISHMENT means the premises where a tattooist applies a tattoo to another. Tattoo means to insert pigment under the surface of the skin of a person, by pricking with a needle or otherwise, so as to produce an indelible mark or figure through the skin. Tattooist means a person who tattoos another.
