Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $56,000 with the total cost estimated to be $1,246,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
7th Aldermanic District
Area bounded by W. Congress St., W. Lincoln Creek Dr., N. 51st St., and N. 60th St. (#22) (SM494130202): Sanitary sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $511,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.
9th Aldermanic District
Easement No. 1721 - N. 115th St. and north of W. Brown Deer Rd. (SM494130203): Sanitary sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $1,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $70,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
11th and 13th Aldermanic Districts
S. 27th St. - W. Howard Ave. to W. Oklahoma Ave. (SM493130104): Median bioswales. Best Management Practices (BMP's) for the reduction of TSS in storm water. (Nonassessable TSS Removal Fund -- $5,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $299,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.
13th Aldermanic District
W. Ohio Ave. - S. 19th St. to S. 20th St. (SM495130040): Relay sanitary and storm sewers. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $103,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.
S. 20th St. - W. Morgan Ave. to S. Ohio Ave. (SM495130041): Relay sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $263,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2014 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
