Analysis

This resolution amends Common Council File  011558  relative to application, acceptance and funding of the 2002 Consolidated Contract.  The purpose of the grant is to continue programming in seven service areas during 2002 under the Consolidated Contract allocations.

Body

Whereas, Common Council File 011558  authorized the  Health Department  to apply for, accept and fund the 2002 Consolidated Contract from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for seven Health Department service areas.  This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $ 1,219,710; and

Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by  $195,760; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to commit funds within Project/Grant parent account of the 2002 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects fund, the following amount for the project titled  2002 Consolidated Contract:

Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2002 Positions Ordinance, Common Council File 010468, should be amended as follows:

Immunization Action Plan Grant (DD)

Add:

(1 )     Health Access Interpreter (DD) (X)

Amend footnote  (DD) as follows:

To expire 12/31/02 unless the Immunization Action Plan Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services, is extended.  Also funds .5 FTE of a Public Health Nurse position; and, be it

Further Resolved, That all standard resolved clauses articulated in Common Council File 011558  remain applicable.
