This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a revised project agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) and the Village of Butler for programming and construction of the North 124th Street between West Hampton Avenue and West Silver Spring Drive with Federal and/or State Aid under the Surface Transportation Program (STP). The project agreement has been revised to reflect the Village of butler's use of Federal/State STP funds for their portion of the project. This revised agreement will not change the City's share in this project.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 920832 on September 17, 1992, authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) for programming and construction of the improvement of the North 124th Street between West Hampton Avenue and West Silver Spring Drive with 80 percent Federal and/or State Aid under the Surface Transportation Program; and
Whereas, As provided in said resolution the Commissioner of Public Works has entered into an agreement with the Village of Butler for the sharing of costs for this joint improvement project; and
Whereas, The Village of Butler has recently requested and received approval from the WISDOT for Federal/State STP funds for their share of the street improvement costs and storm sewer work; and
Whereas, Because of this recent change in the Village's securing STP funding entitlement on this project, the WISDOT has submitted a revised agreement to be executed by the City and the Village; and
Whereas, The estimated construction costs are as shown in the agreement; and
Whereas, The City's anticipated share of the project will not change under the revised agreement; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute the revised project agreement for programming and construction of the North 124th Street West Hampton Avenue to West Silver Spring Drive with Federal and/or State funds under the Surface Transportation Program, a copy of which is attached to Common Council Resolution File Number 980918 and is incorporated in this resolution by reference as though set forth in full.
