Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2023 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:
Assessor’s Office, Department of Emergency Communications, Health Department, Municipal Court, Police Department
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Health Department, Sexual & Reproductive Health”, delete one position of “Public Health Nurse (U)(X)” and add one position of “Public Health Nurse 3 (U)(X)”.
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2023 - December 25, 2022):
Under “Police Department, Intelligence Fusion Center”, delete one position of “Public and Medical Threat Analyst” and “add one position of “Public Health and Cyber Security Analyst”.
Part 3. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 7, 2023 - March 19, 2023):
Under “Assessor’s Office, Systems and Administration Division”, delete one position of “Program Assistant II” and add one position of “Program Assistant III”.
Under “Department of Emergency Communications”, add one hundred sixty seven positions of “911 Dispatcher” and thirteen positions of “Emergency Communications Operator Supervisor”.
Under “Municipal Court, Information Technology”, delete two positions of “Programmer Analyst” and add two positions of “Court Applications and Software Developer”.
Under “Police Department, Technical Communications Division”, delete one hundred sixty seven positions of “911 Dispatcher” and thirteen positions of “Emergency Communications Operator Supervisor”.
Part 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 5. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2023 (December 25, 2022).
Part 6. The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 7, 2023 (March 19, 2023).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 7. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
