Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1998 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.

BODY:

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under Salary Grade 005 add the title "DPW Customer Service Supervisor."

Under Salary Grade 007, add the title "Data Services Manager."

Part 2. Section 3 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under Pay Range 240, add a footnote designation "3/" after the title "Water Meter Technician I" that reads as follows: "3/ The City will pay an incentive premium of $0.50 per meter reading visit for all visits over the average number of visits per route for each full day assigned to meter reading for an employee who meets or exceeds the threshold number and satisfies the terms and conditions as defined in the City/Union June, 1998 Memorandum of Understanding."

Part 3. Section 8 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under Pay Range 550, add the footnote designation "1/" following the title "Administrative Assistant IV" and add the following footnote: "1/ Current incumbent, Peggy Clements (Police Department), to retain the title of Administrative Assistant IV, until she vacates her current position, at which time the title shall revert to Administrative Assistant III in Pay Range 530."

Part 4. Section 19 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under Pay Range 836, delete the title "Data Services Manager" and the accompanying footnote "3/".

Part 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Part 6. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

Part 7. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
