Title
Resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $370,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $16,341,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $370,000 with the total cost estimated to be $16,341,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
1st Aldermanic District
W. Hampton Ave. - N. Teutonia Ave. to 200 feet m/l west of N. Teutonia Ave. (SM495120111): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $221,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
W. Hopkins St. - W. Fiebrantz Ave. to N. 35th St. (WT410130012): Hydrant alteration. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $4,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $11,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $40,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
Area bounded by W. Silver Spring Dr., W. Douglas Ave., N. 43rd St., and N. 27th St. (SM494120217): Sanitary sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $1,365,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.

Area bounded by N. 51st Blvd., N. 60th St., W. Keefe Ave., and W. Capitol Dr. (#10) (SM494120203): Sanitary sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $10,000, Additional Funds). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $1,300,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
W. Capitol Dr. - N. 53rd St. to N. 54th St. (SM495120105): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $68,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
3rd Aldermanic District
E. Auer Ave. - N. Bremen St. to N. Humboldt Blvd. (SM495130014): Combined large diameter sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $234,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
4th Aldermanic District
W. McKinley Ave. - N. 24th St. to N. 24th Pl. (SM495120094): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $74,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
5th and 10th Aldermanic Districts
Area bounded by N. 72nd St., N. 82nd St., W. Center St., and W. Burleigh St. (#9) (SM494120201): Sanitary sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000, Additional Funds). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $977,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
8th Aldermanic District
S. 28th St. - 150 feet m/l south of W. Evergreen Ln. to 400 feet m/l south of W. National Ave. (SM495120040): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000, Additional Funds). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $291,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
10th Aldermanic District
W. Blue Mound Rd. - 200 feet east of N. 42nd St. to 115 feet west of N. 42nd St. (SM495120096): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $77,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
N. Hawley Rd. - W. Wells St. to W. Valley Forge Dr. (SM495100213): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $25,000, Additional Funds). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $364,000. This project was completed in 2012.
W. St. Paul Ave. - N. 60th St. to N. 62nd St. (SM495120104): Relaying storm sewer and sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $181,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
N. 61st St. - W. Park Hill Ave. to 240 feet m/l north of W. St. Paul Ave. (SM495120103): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $57,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
10th and 15th Aldermanic Districts
N. 48th St. - W. Washington Blvd. to W. Garfield Ave. (SM495120102): Relaying sanitary sewer and new storm sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $662,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
11th Aldermanic District
Area bounded by W. Forest Home Ave., W. Cold Spring Rd., S. 48th St., and S. 84th St. (SM494120214): Sanitary sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $2,355,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
Area bounded by W. Oklahoma Ave., W. Howard Ave., S. 63rd St., and S. 95th St. (SM494120211): Sanitary sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $3,035,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.

Area bounded by W. Edgerton Ave., W. Plainfield Ave., S. 19th St., and S. 27th St. (SM494120210): Sanitary sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $1,367,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.

Area bounded by E. Manitoba Ave., E. Wilbur Ave., S. Chase Ave., and S. Clement Ave. (SM494120215): Sanitary sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $1,125,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
15th Aldermanic District
N. 42nd St. - W. Garfield Ave. to W. North Ave. (SM495130013): Combined sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $48,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
City Wide
2013 Sewer work prior to paving (SM495130500): (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $100,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $2,500,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
