This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a revised project agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for programming and construction of the improvement of the West Mill Road Bridge over the Menomonee River with Federal and/or State Aid funding under the Local Bridge Replacement Program. The revised agreement will now include construction costs to be undertaken with 80 percent Federal and/or State funds. The total estimated construction cost for the project is $748,000.00 of which the City's share is $149,600.
BODY:
Whereas, A project agreement has been executed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the City of Milwaukee for the preliminary engineering work on the West Mill Road Bridge over the Menomonee River in accordance with Common Council Resolution File Number 950846 adopted on October 4, 1995; and
Whereas, A revised project agreement, adding the construction phase of the project to the previously approved preliminary engineering funding has been received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the West Mill Road Bridge over the Menomonee River with
Federal and/or State aid under the Bridge Replacement Program; and
Whereas, Estimated costs of engineering and construction for this project are as indicated in the revised project agreement; and
Whereas, Construction funds for this project will be included in future resolutions; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute the revised project agreement for the programming and construction of the improvement of the West Mill Road Bridge over the Menomonee River with Federal and/or State Aid under the Local Bridge Replacement Program, a copy of which is attached to Common Council Resolution File Number 971530, and is incorporated in this resolution by reference as though set forth in full.
