Resolution amending Common Council File Number 240221 relating to acceptance and funding of the 2024 STD Infertility Prevention Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Analysis
This substitute resolution amends Common Council File Number 240221 authorized acceptance and funding the 2024 STD Infertility Prevention Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The amendment increases total funding for the 2024 grant. The purpose of the grant is reducing the incidence and fertility complications of sexually transmitted diseases in Milwaukee through preventive health education services and focused disease intervention activities.

Whereas, Common Council File Number 240221 authorized the Health Department to accept and fund the 2024 STD Infertility Prevention grant for the purpose of reducing the incidence and fertility complications of sexually transmitted diseases in Milwaukee; and
Whereas, this grant provided for a grantor share total of $160,917, and a City share total of $0; and
Whereas, the Grantor share for this program is increased by $112,445, and total cost is increased by $112,445; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81-5c; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Amend the budgeted funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2024 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled STD AAPPS/Infertility Prevention 2024:
