Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2008 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 070605 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Department of City Development, General Management and Policy Development Decision Unit, Office of the Commissioner”, delete one position of “Administrative Services Manager” and add one position of “Administrative Services Supervisor.”

 

Under “Health Department”, delete one position of "Health Operations Director (X)(Y)" and add one position of "Public Health Research & Policy Director (X)(Y)" and one position of "Health Operations Administrator (X)(Y)"; under “Communications and Public Relations”, add one position of "Community Health Services Officer (X)(Y)"; under “Compliance & Finance Division”, delete one position of "Compliance Officer (Y)" and add one position of "Chief Compliance Officer (Y)"; under “Clinic Operations”, delete one position of "Clinic Operations Manager (X)(Y)" and add one position of "Health Center Operations Manager (X)(Y)"; under “Consumer Environmental Health Division, Central”, delete one position of "Environmental Health Supervisor (X)(Y)" and add one position of "Environmental Health Program Supervisor (X)(Y)"; under “Family and Community Health Services, Maternal & Child Health Division”, delete one position of "Maternal and Child Health Division Manager (X)(Y)"; under "Family and Community Health Services" add one position of "Family & Community Health Services Director (X)(Y)"; under “Disease Control and Prevention Division”, delete one position of "Disease Control and Prevention Manager (X)(Y)" and add one position of "Disease Control & Environmental Health Services Director (X)(Y)", under “Bioterrorism-CDC Public Health Preparedness Grant (A)”, delete one position of "Epidemiologist (X)(A)” and add one Position of "Infectious Disease Epidemiologist(X)(A)."

 

Under "Health Department”, delete the title "Consumer Environmental Health Division" and delete one position “Consumer Environmental Health Manager (X) (Y)”, one position of “Environmental Specialist Supervisor (X)(Y)”, one position of “Environmental Health Coordinator (X) (Y)”, two positions of “Office Assistant III" and one position of “Program Assistant I”, delete the title “Central” and delete one position of “Environmental Health Program Supervisor (X)(Y)” and nine positions of “Environmental Health Specialist II (X)”, delete the title “Northwest” and delete one position of “Environmental Health Supervisor (X)(Y)” and ten positions of  "Environmental Health Specialist II (X)"; under "Disease Control and Prevention Division", add the title “Consumer Environmental Health” and add one position of “Consumer Environmental Health Manager”, one position of “Environmental Health Program Supervisor (X)(Y)”, one position of “Environmental Health Supervisor (X)(Y)”, one position of “Environmental Specialist Supervisor (X)(Y)”, one position of  "Environmental Health Coordinator (X)(Y)”, nineteen positions of “Environmental Health Specialist II (X)”, one position of “Program Assistant I” and two positions of “Office Assistant III.”

 

Under “Health Department”, replace the heading “Home Environmental Health Division” with the title “Home Environmental Health” and move the title “Home Environmental Health”, one position of “Home Environmental Health Manager (X) (W) (Y)” and all the following titles and positions listed under the title “Home Environmental Health” under the “Disease Control and Prevention Division”;

“Home Environmental Health” and one position of “Home Environmental Health Manager (X) (W) (Y)”;

“Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (W)” and one position of “Environmental Health Field Supervisor (W) (Y) (X)”, one position of “Public Health Educator II (X) (W)”, three positions of “Lead Risk Assessor II (W) (X)”, one position of  “Program Assistant II (W)”, one position of “Lead Program Information Specialist (W)”, one position of “Office Assistant III (W)” and one position of “Health Services Assistant II (X) (W)”;

“Childhood Lead Detection Program (Z)” and one position of “Environmental Hygienist (Z)(X)”, one position of “Office Assistant III (Z)”, one position of “Office Assistant II (Z)”, two positions of “Lead Hazard Prevention Manager (X) (Z)” and one position of “Health Services Assistant (X)(Z)”; 

“Lead Poisoning Control Program” and one position of “Public Health Nurse Supervisor (X)(Y)“, three position of “Public Health Nurse (X) (G)”, one position of “Office Assistant III (TT)” and two positions of “Lead Risk Assessor II (TT) (X)”;

“CDBG Lead Grant (TT)” and one position of “Lead Project Coordinator (CDBG) (TT) (X) (Y)”, three positions of “Lead Risk Assessor II (TT) (X)”, one position of “Chemist II (TT)” and one position of “Health Services Assistant (TT)”; 

“Lead Based Paint Hazard Control Grant (GGG)” and one position of “Lead Hazard Prevention Manager (X) (GGG) (Y)”; and

“Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grant - Round 13A (OO)” and one position of “Lead Project Coordinator (X) (OO)”, two positions of “Lead Risk Assessors II (X) (OO0”, one position of “Program Assistant II (X) (OO)“, one position of “Health Education Assistant (X) (OO)” and one position of “Chemist II (OO).”

 

Part 2.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 3.  The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 4.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
