Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2024 offices and positions in the City Service.

This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 230641 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Department of Administration, Environmental Collaboration Office”, add one position of “Environmental Sustainability Program Coordinator (DD)” and add footnote (DD) to read:

 

“(DD)                      United States Department of Agriculture Urban Forestry Grant (USDAUF) Position Authority for the Environmental Sustainability Program Coordinator to expire if grant funding is discontinued or on 12/31/2025, unless the USDAUF is extended.”

 

Under “Common Council-City Clerk, License Division”, amend footnote designation (E) to read:

 

“(E)                      Two positions designated as bilingual.”

 

Under “Health Department, Clinical Services Division”, amend footnote (HUDL) to read:

 

“(HUDL)                      To expire 12/1/2027 unless the 2023 HUD Lead Hazard Reduction grant is extended.”

 

Under “Health Department, Environmental Health Division, amend footnote (HUDL) to read:

Under “Home Environmental Health”, delete footnote designation (HUDL) from one position of “Home Environmental Health Inspector 4 (X)(HUDL)”.

 

Under “Department of Administration, Office of the Director”, add footnote designation (CCR) to one position of “Administration Director (B)(P)(Y)” and add footnote (CCR) to read:

 

(CCR)                     Shall annually contact each member of the Common Council for the purpose of obtaining feedback from each Council member relating to that person’s performance in their position; and shall annually report to the Common Council on the results of the feedback obtained.

 

Under “Office of Equity and Inclusion”, add footnote (CCR) to one position of “Chief Equity Officer”.

 

Under "Department of Administration - Budget and Management Division”, add footnote designation (CCR) to one position of “Budget and Management Director (A)(Y)” and add footnote (CCR) to read:

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 230641 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 3, 2024 - January 21, 2024):

 

Under “Department of Administration, Information and Technology Management Division, Policy and Administration Section”, delete one position of “Administrative Specialist-Senior” and add one position of “Financial Specialist”, and delete one position of “IT Security and Audit Compliance Analyst” and add one position of “Information Security Manager”.

 

Under “Applications and Development Section”, delete one position of “GIS Developer - Senior” and add one position of “GIS Analyst - Senior”.

 

Under “City Attorney, Administrative Division”, delete one position of “IT Support Specialist-Senior” and add one position of “Business Systems Coordinator”.

 

Under “City Treasurer, Administration”, delete one position of “Business Systems Coordinator” and add one position of “Business Systems Analyst”, and delete one position of “IT Support Specialist” and add one position of “Business Systems Analyst”.

Under “Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit, Facilities and Fleet Section”, delete one position of “Program Assistant II” and add one position of “Facilities Program Assistant”.

 

Under “Mechanical Unit”, delete one position of “Facilities Control Specialist (X)” and add one position of “HVAC Maintenance Technician-Senior (X)”.

 

Under “Information Technology Section”, delete one position of “Network Manager (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Library Information Services Manager (X)(Y)”, delete one position of “Network Analyst-Senior (X)” and add one position of “Library Information Services Supervisor (X)”, delete two positions of “IT Support Specialist (X)” and add two positions of “IT Support Specialist-Senior (X)”, and delete one position of “Office Assistant IV” and add one position of “IT Support Associate”.

Part 3.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 4.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 3, 2024 (January 21, 2024).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 5.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
