Resolution amending Common Council File 980229 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant. (Health Dept.)
ANLS:
This resolution amends Common Council File 980229 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention. The purpose of the grant is to provide comprehensive and coordinated service delivery to lead-poisoned children.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council File 980229 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for the purpose of providing comprehensive and coordinated service delivery to lead-poisoned children. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $600,000 and a City share total of $177,396; and
 
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is decreased by $77,953; the in-kind City share is decreased by $22,084; and the total cost is decreased by $100,037; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to encumber in the parent accounts of the 1998 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the project titled Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant:
