Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2006 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:
Department of Administration-Information Technology and Management Division, Health Department, Department of Neighborhood Services and Department of Public Works-Operations.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 050457 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2006 - January 1 2006):
Under “Department of Neighborhood Services, Residential Inspection Division, Code Enforcement Section”, delete three positions of “Special Compliance Inspector (X)” and add two positions of “Code Enforcement Inspector II (X)” and one position of “Program Assistant II.”
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 050457 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Department of Administration, Information Technology and Management Division, Citywide Information Systems”, add one position of “GIS Developer (A)” and add footnote “(A)” to read as follows: “To expire 6/30/2007 unless the Milwaukee County Automated Mapping and Land Information Systems Agreement is extended. Position is authorized only as reflected in the agreement as approved by the Steering Committee of MCAMLIS.”
Under “Health Department, Maternal, Child and Home Environmental Health Division, Northwest Health Center”, delete one position of “Clinic Assistant (X)(AA)(FF)(O)(QQ)” and add one position of “Community Education Assistant (X)(AA)(FF).”
Under “Department of Public Works, Operations Division, Fleet Services Section”, delete one position of “Vehicle & Equipment Repairs Manager (X)” and three positions of “Auto. Mechanic Supervisor II” and add one position of “Fleet Operations Manager (X)”, and three positions of “Fleet Repair Supervisor III”; under “Auxiliary Positions”, delete one position of “Auto Mechanic Supervisor III” and add one position of “Fleet Repair Supervisor III.”
Part 3. Section 7 of ordinance File Number 050457 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Add Sister Cities Committee.
Part 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 5. The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2006 (January 1, 2006).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 6. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
