Title
Resolution to authorize the naming of West Limerick Road as a private road internal to the Alexian Village located on the south side of West Glenbrook Road at North 80th Street, in the 15th Aldermanic District. (Infrastructure Services Division)
Analysis
The Alexian Village will be located on the south side of West Glenbrook Road in the vicinity of North 80th Street. This development includes many individual buildings that will not front on existing public street right-of-way, but rather on an internal road system. By the City recognizing a private road known as West Limerick Road, addresses can be assigned from this private road to support mail delivery and emergency service responses. The purpose of this resolution is to authorize naming West Limerick Road as a private road.

Whereas, The Alexian Village of Milwaukee located on the south side of West Glenbrook Road and North 80th Street has an internal road system to support traffic circulation within their complex; and,
Whereas, By the City recognizing West Limerick Road as a private road building addresses can be assigned to support mail delivery and emergency service responses; and,
Whereas, Chapter 113-1 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances provides for the naming of private roads and calls for these roads to be marked with a brown street sign with the centerline legally described so that these roads can be identified on City records; and,
Whereas, As a condition of adopting this resolution, the Alexian Village of Milwaukee is responsible for placing these brown signs in accord with Chapter 113-1 at their cost as well as placing a stop sign on West Limerick Road so that north bound traffic will stop at West Glenbrook Road; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following private road be described as follows:
West Limerick Road, a private road 24 feet in width with a centerline described as follows:
That part of the Northeast ¼ of Section 4, Town 8 North, Range 21 East, in the City of Milwaukee, County of Milwaukee, State of Wisconsin, bounded and described as follows:
