Resolution approving an award of contract to Masonry Restoration, Inc. (West Allist) for facade repair at Arlington Court in the amount of $449,000.00 (Official Notice 58155)

 

Analysis

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Housing Authority) solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 58155 during the period March 26, 2026 through April 9, 2026 for Façade Repair at Arlington Court; and

 

WHEREAS, five (5) sealed bids were received by the deadline of 2:00 PM CDT on April 9, 2026; and

 

WHEREAS, the sealed bids were received and publicly opened on April 9, 2026, during which the bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

 

WHEREAS, Masonry Restoration, Inc., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $449,000.00; therefore, be it,

 

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Masonry Restoration, Inc. for Façade Repair at Arlington Court; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from the CFP 2024; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Housing Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Housing Authority; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any change orders including the time of performance are needed, the Chairperson and Acting Secretary-Executive Director may approve such request without any further action of the Commissioners of the Housing Authority; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Commissioners and the Acting Secretary-Executive Director of the Housing Authority be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
