The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 60-70-1-c-1 to 3 of the code is amended to read:
60-70. Inspection Fees for Health Code and Weights and Measures.
1. HEALTH CODE INSPECTION FEES.
c. Reinspection.
c-1. The fee for the first reinspection in which one or more of the criteria specified in s. 60-5-1 are met shall be [[$125]] >>$150<<.
c-2. The fee shall increase by [[$125]] >>$150<< for each successive inspection in which one or more of the criteria specified in s. 60-1-5 are met.
c-3. The maximum reinspection fee for a single inspection, excluding penalties for late payment, shall be [[$500]] >>$600<< .
Part 2. Section 79-16-2-a-3 of the code is amended to read:
79-16. PENALTY.
2. LIEN.
a.
a-3. Special charges made under this subsection shall be due and payable 30 days after billing or if not paid within that time become a lien on the subject property as provided in s. 66.0627, Wis. Stats. Such lien shall take effect as of the date of the delinquency and shall include an administrative charge of [[$10]] >>$25<<. Such lien shall automatically be extended upon the current or next tax roll as a delinquent tax against the property and all proceedings in relation to the collection, return and sale of the property for delinquent real estate taxes shall apply to such charge. Such charge shall not be payable in installments.
Part 3. Section 80-17-6-a and b of the code is amended to read:
80-17. Turf Grass and Weeds.
6. CHARGES AND COSTS.
a. Any person who fails to cut turf grasses or weeds as required in sub. 2 shall be subject to a special charge of [[$50]] >>$75<< for a first violation in a calendar year, if the violation is not abated within 72 hours of initial inspection and photographic verification by the department.
b. The amount of the special charge for any second and each subsequent violation in the same calendar year shall increase by [[$50]] >>$125<< from the amount of the special charge imposed for the previous violation, not to exceed [[$300]] >>$750<< for 6 or more violations in the same calendar year, and shall be assessed upon initial inspection and photographic verification by the department.

For the excavation required for the construction or repair of an individual storm building sewer, sanitary building sewer, combined building sewer, water service, or any combination thereof laid simultaneously in a single excavation or in more than one excavation connected by tunneling or boring, the fee shall be [[$125]] >>$150<< .
2. MAIN OR CONDUIT. For the excavation required for the laying or repair of a main or conduit in each block, the fee shall be [[$89]] >>$120<< .
3. REPAIR. For the excavation required for the laying or repair of utility building services in each block, the fee shall be [[$86]] >>$120<< .
4. OTHER. For any other excavation or any installation the fee shall be [[$86]] >>$120<< .
5. INSPECTION.

Part 77. Section 200-33-67-a of the code is amended to read:
67. ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS.
a. Notice of appeal and application for review fee: $125. An applicant filing under this subsection shall pay a >>nonrefundable<< filing fee [[which shall be applied as a credit toward any action requested by an applicant under pars. b to m. The filing fee is not refundable]] .
Part 78. Section 200-33-67-n of the code is created to read:
n. Adjournment of hearing when the petitioner requests an adjournment after public notice of the hearing has been provided:
n-1. First occurrence: $150.
n-2. Second or subsequent occurrence: $300.
Part 79. This ordinance is effective January 1, 2026.
