Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2005 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:
Fire and Health Departments and the Department of Public Works.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 040459 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Fire Department, Metropolitan Medical Response System Program Grant", amend footnote "(A)" to read as follows: "To expire 12/31/06 unless the Metropolitan Medical Response System Program Grant is extended."
Under "Health Department, Milwaukee Fetal Infant Mortality Review Grant (M)", delete one position of "Health Project Coordinator(X)(M)" and add one position of "Health Project Assistant (X)(M)" and amend footnote "(M)" to read as follows: "To expire 5/31/06 unless the Milwaukee Fetal Infant Mortality Review Grant is extended"; under "Maternal and Child Health Division" add the title "Comprehensive Home Visiting Grant (E)", and add two positions of "Public Health Nurses (X)(E)", one position of "Program Manager (X)(E)", one position of "Project/Systems Coordinator (X)(E)", one position of "Data Manager (E)" and one position of "Office Assistant II (E)" and add footnote "(E)" to read as follows: "To expire 12/31/06 unless the Comprehensive Home Visiting Grant is extended"; under "Healthy Behaviors and HealthCare Access Division", delete the title "Making Connections Grant (R)" and delete one position of "Public Health Educator II (R )(X)"; under "Medical Assistance Outreach Program", add one position of "Public Health Educator II (R ) (X)" and amend footnote "(R)" to read as follows: "To expire 12/31/05 unless the Making Connections Grant is extended. Partially funds the Public Health Educator position."
Under "Department of Public Works, Infrastructure Services Division - Sewer Maintenance Fund, Environmental Decision Unit, Research, Planning and Stormwater", add footnote designation "(B)" to one position of "Management, Civil Engineer - Senior", one position of "Civil Engineer III", one positions of "Civil Engineer II", one position of "Engineering Tech IV" and one position of "Engineering Tech II" and add footnote (B) to read as follows: "Positions are partially funded by the Erosion Control Information and Training Program grant from the Great Lakes Commission. Grant to expire 06/30/06 unless it is extended. "
Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 3. The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
