Title
Resolution approving the Land Disposition Report for properties in the Menomonee Valley "A" Redevelopment Project for sale to the Forest County Potawatomi Community of Wisconsin to facilitate the extension of West Pittsburgh Avenue, in the 8th Aldermanic District. (Redevelopment Authority)
Analysis
This resolution will permit the Redevelopment Authority to convey said land according to the conditions in the Land Disposition Report.
Body
Whereas, By adoption of Common Council File No. 020420 on July 16, 2002, the Common Council authorized an agreement to realign and extend West Pittsburgh Avenue and to create a new South 20th Street, south of West Canal Street to improve ingress and egress to the Potawatomi Casino; and
Whereas, The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee ("Authority") owns a property in the proposed right of way and held a Public Hearing on July 18, 2002, on the proposed sale of the property as required by Wisconsin Statutes; and
Whereas, Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes and as a condition precedent to the sale, lease or transfer of land, the Authority submits herewith a Land Disposition Report describing the terms and conditions of the proposed sale; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Land Disposition Report dated July 18, 2002, with respect to the proposed sale of the following property is approved.

; and, be it
Further Resolved, That upon dedication of extended Pittsburgh Avenue and vacation of a portion of existing Pittsburgh Avenue and South 19th Street, the Authority and the City of Milwaukee are permitted to quit claim any interest they may have in the vacated streets to the named Redeveloper; and, be it
Further Resolved, That in the event the Redeveloper elects not to purchase the property, the Authority is permitted to dedicate the area designated for street as public right of way and to convey the remnant north of the realigned Pittsburgh Avenue to the Redeveloper; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Authority also is authorized to convey to the Redeveloper the street remnant at 301 South 16th Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City of Milwaukee is authorized to contribute approximately $98,000 for the project as follows:
