Title
Resolution authorizing acceptance of up to $100,000 in contributions to the Health Department to support Milwaukee Health Department Family and Community Health Programs.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept and expend up to $100,000 in contributions from the various individuals and organizations to support the costs of Milwaukee Health Department Family and Community Health Programs. Donated and contributed funding will be used for Family and Community Health Programs including WIC, Strong Baby/MCH Title V, home visiting (EFM/DAD), Newborn Screening, and Newborn Hearing, as allowed and directed by contributors.

Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation and expenditure of contributions received by the City, and
Whereas, the Health Department has received contributions of funds to the City expressly for the purpose of providing support for the costs of MHD Family and Community Health Programs; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department is authorized to accept up to $100,000 in contributions from various individuals and organizations to support the costs of Milwaukee Health Department Family and Community Health Programs; and, be it
Further Resolved, That upon the receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is directed to establish a special purpose account within the Health Department budget for the expenditure of the contributions; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Contribution Fund-General, account number 0001-2110-0001-D001-006300, and the estimated Revenue Account for Contributions, account number 0001-2110-0001-009850 to the Health Department Special Account 0001-3810-DXXX-006300, and the Health Department Estimated Revenue Account 0001-3810-0001-009850 for the purposes set forth in this resolution in the amount of $100,000.
