Title
Resolution relative to application, acceptance and funding of the West Nile Virus Grant. (Health Department)
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the West Nile Virus Grant project from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services in the amount of $4,500. The purpose of the project is to used for West Nile Virus surveillance which includes mosquito surveillance.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for West Nile Virus surveillance for mosquito surveillance; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 04/01/05 to 06/30/05 would cost $4,500 entirely provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 030712 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2005 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled West Nile Virus Grant:

2. Create the necessary Special Revenue Fund-Grant and Aid Project/Grant and Project/Grant Levels; budget against these Project/Grant values the amount required under the grant agreement;and, be it
Further Resolved, That these funds are budgeted to the Health Department which is authorized to expend from the amount budgeted sums for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2005 Positions Ordinance C.C. File Number 040459, should be amended as follows:
