Substitute resolution authorizing a temporary easement with Wisconsin Electric Power Company, to provide temporary electric service for a parcel owned by MKE Fuel Company LLC, on City of Milwaukee property at 1701 East College Avenue, in the 13th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This substitute resolution authorizes a temporary easement for aboveground electrical services on a City-owned property (Tax Key No. 7219999200) to an adjacent Privately-owned property (Tax Key No. 7219999110).
Body
Whereas, Wisconsin Electric Power Company (“WE”) provides electrical service to a property owned by MKE Fuel Company LLC, at 1701 East College Avenue (the “Property”); and
Whereas, WE has existing electrical facilities that provide electrical service to the Property that is improved with three large aboveground aviation fuel tanks owned by MKE Fuel Company LLC; and
Whereas, MKE Fuel Company LLC provides aviation fuel to the airlines at General Mitchell International Airport (“GMIA”) and is undertaking an aviation fuel conveyance project that will improve fueling service to GMIA; and
Whereas, WE has requested a thirty-foot by twelve-foot temporary easement on the City Property with an address of 1701-R East College Avenue to accommodate a below ground electrical line under a gravel driveway that is necessary to provide electrical service from an adjacent transformer to a job trailer on the Property, a copy of which easement is attached to this Common Council File; and
Whereas, The City will be compensated by WE for this easement in the amount of $1,000; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development, Department of Public Works and City Attorney’s Office have reviewed the easement and recommend approval; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the temporary easement with Wisconsin Electric Power Company at the City-owned property at 1701 East College Avenue is approved and that the proper City officials are authorized to execute the easement; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the $1,000 easement consideration from WE, less 30 percent to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, shall be deposited in the City’s General Fund.
