Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1998 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Salary Grade 004, delete the title "Nutritionist Coorindator" and add the title "Health Project Coordinator-Tobacco Use Prevention Program."
Under Salary Grade 005, delete the titles "Environmental Field Supervisor" and "Environmental Health Supervisor" and add the titles "Nutritionist Coordinator" and "Lead Project Inspection Supervisor."
Under Salary Grade 006, add the title "Environmental Health Supervisor."
Part 2. Section 8 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 535, add the title "Inspection Specialist."
Part 3. Section 8 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 1997 - December 29, 1996):
Under Pay Range 540, in footnote "4/", delete the rate of $1,413.68 and substitute $1,452.56.
Part 4. Section 14 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 1997 - December 19, 1996):
Under Pay Ranges 704 and 710, delete the biweekly rates of pay and substitute the following:

Part 5. Section 8 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 1998 - December 28, 1997):
Under Pay Range 540, in footnote "4/", delete the rate of $1,452.56 and substitute $1,492.51.
Part 6. Section 14 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 1998 - December 28, 1997):
Under Pay Ranges 704 and 710, delete the biweekly rates of pay and substitute the following:

Delete the rates of pay shown for Pay Ranges 549 and 589 and substitute the following:

Part 8. All ordinances of parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 9. The provisions of Parts 3 & 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 1997 (December 29, 1996).
The provisions of Parts 5 & 6 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 1998 (December 28, 1997).
The provisions of Part 7 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 6, 1998 (March 8, 1998).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period followoing passage and publication.
Part 10. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
