Title
Resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $310,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $5,977,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $310,000 with the total cost estimated to be $5,977,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
1st Aldermanic District
N. 40th St. - W. Hampton Ave. to W. Stark Ave. (SM495260011) Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of the project including the requested amount is $202,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
12th and 14th Aldermanic District
S. 13th St. - W. Harrison Ave. to W. Oklahoma Ave. (SM499230009) File Number 230577: Installing bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $20,000 additional funding). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $200,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
14th Aldermanic District
S. 12th St. - W. Manitoba St. to W. Oklahoma Ave. (SM495260012) Combined sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $317,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
W. Manitoba St. - S. 6th St. to S. 12th St. (SM495260013) Combined sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $30,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $1,421,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
15th Aldermanic District
W. Kilbourn Ave. - N. 35th St. to 460’+/- West of N. 37th St. (SM495260010) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $482,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.

ADA ramps for 2026 High impact paving north-side projects: (ST216250110) File Number 241882: Replace curb and gutter and sidewalk as necessary (Nonassessable High Impact Paving Fund - $100,000 additional funds). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $1,600,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.

The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $180,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
