Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2021 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments: Health and Police Departments
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 200537 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows: (Effective Pay Period 1, 2021 - December 27, 2020)
Under “Health Department, Office of the Commissioner and Health Administration, Finance and Administration”, delete one position of “Budget and Management Analyst (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Accountant II (X) (Y)”.
Under “Health Department, Environmental Health Division, Home Environmental Health”,
delete one position of “Environmental and Disease Control Specialist (X)” and add one position of “Environmental Health Coordinator (X) (TT) (QQ)”.
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 200537 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under the Health Department, amend footnote “(E)” to read as follows:
“To expire 09/30/21 unless the Family Foundations Comprehensive Home Visiting Grant is extended. Partially funds one Men’s Health Manager.”
Amend footnote “(N)” to read as follows:
To expire 12/31/21 unless the Newborn Hearing Screening Grant is extended. Partially funds one position of Public Health Nurse.
Under “Police Department, District 1”, add footnote designation “(V)” to 93 positions of Police Officer, and amend footnote “(V)” as follows:
(V) POLICE DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS DECISION UNIT COPS Hiring Program (CHP) Grant. 30 grant funded police officer positions to expire 6/30/23 unless the grant is extended and maintained for a period of not less than 12 months following the end of the grant unless the grant is extended.
Under “Assigned as Needed Within Decision Unit”, delete footnote designation (V) from 20 positions of Police Officer positions.
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2021 (December 27, 2020).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
