This substitute resolution declares it necessary to take or use certain property rights for completion of a Milwaukee Riverwalk segment on the west side of the river between West Wells Street and West Kilbourn Avenue.

BODY:
Whereas, The Board of Business Improvement District No. 15 ("BID #15") has requested that the City institute proceedings under sec. 32.50, et. seq., Stats., ("Kline Law") to acquire or use certain property rights for completion of the Milwaukee Riverwalk on the west side of the river between West Wells Street and West Kilbourn Avenue ("Subject Riverwalk Segment"); and
Whereas, The City desires to cooperate with the BID #15 to institute Kline Law procedures for purposes of acquiring and constructing the public right-of-way/bridging structures needed to complete the Subject Riverwalk Segment; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is declared necessary to acquire or use certain property rights for completion of the Milwaukee Riverwalk right- of-way/bridge on the Subject Riverwalk Segment under the procedures provided in sec. 32.50 et seq., Stats.; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Board of Assessment be required to submit a report and tentative plan of the proposed Subject Riverwalk Segment; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Engineer is authorized and directed to provide the necessary services that the Board of Assessment may require, such as preparation of maps, description of the property or rights necessary for the proposed improvement, description of adjacent properties, preparation of surveys and estimates of cost.
