Resolution amending Common Council File 971597 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Hepatitis B Immunization Grant. (Health Department)
ANLS:
This resolution amends Common Council File 971597 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Hepatitis B Immunization Grant. The purpose of the grant is to initiate and complete the Hepatitis B vaccine series in high-risk infants.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council File 971597 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Hepatitis B Immunization Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for the purpose of initiating and completing the Hepatitis B vaccine series in high-risk infants. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $33,861 and a City share total of $10,206; and
 
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $7,958; the in-kind City share is decreased by $4,996; and the total cost is increased by $2,962; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to encumber in the parent accounts of the 1998 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the project titled Hepatitis B Immunization Grant:

Further Resolved, That these funds are appropriated to the Health Department which is authorized to:
 
1. Expend from the 1998 grant budget funds for training and out-of-town travel by departmental staff;
 
2. Enter into subcontracts and leases as detailed in the grant budget; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That all standard resolved clauses articulated in this Common Council File 980377 remain applicable.
