Body

Whereas, A request to include Street Lighting and City Underground Conduits (CUC) as Non-Participating Utility Items in Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Contract 2967-17-00/70/71 State Trunk Highway 181 (North 76^th Street over Union Pacific Railroad) has been forwarded to WisDOT and approved by WisDOT; and

Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee of project cost overruns and changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City is 100 percent liable for project cost overruns and changes in scope as approved by the Department of Public Works; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute the agreement for the installation of non-participating Street Lighting and CUC items on State Trunk Highway 181 (North 76^th Street over Union Pacific Railroad) as part of the WisDOT bridge project, and to set up funds for construction at an estimated total cost of $300,000 with 100% City share. 

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is hereby authorized to create within the Capital Improvement Fund and the necessary Chartfield Values for construction for the project (Expenditure) and transfer to any of these accounts the amount required under City Accounting Policy, as follows:
