BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
 
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 990704 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
 
Under "Department of Employee Relations, Employee Benefits Division, Medical Benefits Section", delete one position of "Medical Benefits Assistant II" and add one position of "Administrative Services Specialist" and one position of "Program Assistant II."
 
Under "Employes' Retirement System, Management Support Services", delete one position of "Administrative Specialist-Senior", one position of "Administrative Assistant I", one position of "Program Assistant I", one position of "Administrative Assistant III", two positions of "Office Assistant II" and add one position of "Paralegal" and one position of "Administrative Assistant II"; under "Fiscal Services", delete one position of "Management Accountant", one position of "Accounting Assistant III", two positions of "Accounting Assistant I", one position of "Office Assistant III" and one position of "Program Assistant I" and add two position of "Pension Accounting Specialist"; under "Information Systems", delete one position of "System Project Leader", one position of "Information Officer", one position of "Network Specialist III" and one position of "Programmer Analyst" and add one position of "Office Assistant III (.5 FTE)", one position of "Records Technician II", one position of "Information systems Manger-ERS", one position of "Business Systems Coordinator", two positions of "Systems Analyst-Senior" and one position of "Network Coordinator-Senior"; under "Membership Services", delete one position of "Membership Services Manager", one position of "Pension Counseling Supervisor", two positions of "Pension Counseling-Senior", one position of "Pension Counselor" and one position of "Medical Benefits Assistant III" and add one position of "Office Assistant II", one position of "Office Assistant III", two positions of "Disability Specialist-Senior", four positions of "Pension Special-Senior", one position of "Member Services Manager" and two positions of "Program Assistant II"; under "Auxiliary Positions", delete one position of "Research Analyst (A)", one position of "Paralegal (A)", three positions of "Administrative Assistant (.5 FTE) (A)", one position of "Infrastructure Support Manager (A)", one position of "Information System Manager (A)", two positions of "Application Support Manager (A)", one position of "Special Projects Manager (A)", one position of "Records Manager (A)", two positions of "Communications Specialist (A)", two positions of "Disability Specialist (A)", two positions of "Benefits Specialists (A)", two positions of "Insurance Specialist (A)", two positions of "Administrative Assistant (A)", one position of "Receptionist (A)", two position of "Contribution Accountant (A)", two positions of "Payroll Accountant (A)", one position of "Investment/Budget Accountant (A)" and one position of "Investment Accountant (A)."
 
Under the "Police Department, Administration/Services Decision Unit, Technical Services Bureau, Communications Maintenance Division", delete two positions of "Police Electronic Technician" and add two positions of "Electronic Technician" and under "Vice Control", delete two positions of "Detective (K)" and add two positions of "Police Sergeant (K)."
 
Part 2. All Ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
 
Part 3. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
 
Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
