Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2017 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Department of Administration, Common Council-City Clerk, Employes’ Retirement System, Health Department, Police Department, Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Police Department, Forensics”, delete one position of “Police Identification Supervisor”.
Under “Investigative Management Division”, add one positon of “Police Sergeant”.
Under “Information Technology Division”, delete one position of “Information Services Manager” and add one position of “Information Services Manager - Milwaukee Police Dept.”.
Under “Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division, Bridges and Buildings Decision Unit, Mechanical Services”, add one position of “Milwaukee Plays Program Coordinator (.55 FTE).”
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 8, 2016 - March 27, 2016):
Under “Department of Administration, Budget and Management Division”, delete one position of “Budget and Policy Manager-Sr (Y)” and add one position of “Financial Operations Manager (Y)”.
Part 3. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 23, 2016 - October 23, 2016):
Under “Department of Administration - Information and Technology Management Division, Unified Call Center”, delete one position of “Call Center Operations and Analytics Manager” and add one position of “UCC Operations Manager”.
Part 4. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2017 - January 1, 2017):
Under “Department of Administration - Information and Technology Management Division, Applications and Development Section”, delete one position of “Project Coordinator” and add one position of “IT Project Coordinator”.
Under “Health Department, Office of Violence Prevention”, add one position of “ReCAST Program Manager (X)(H)” and one position of “Administrative Assistant III”.
Under “Disease Control and Environmental Health Services Division, Laboratory Services Division”, delete one position of “IT Support Specialist (D)” and add one position of “Laboratory Data Specialist (D)”.
Under “CDBG Lead Grant (TT)”, delete one position of “Chemist II (TT)” and add one position of “Chemist (TT)”.
Under “Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grants (HUD)(RR), delete one position of “Chemist II (RR)(QQ)” and add one position of “Chemist (RR)(QQ)”.
Under “Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic”, delete one position of “Microbiologist II (F)” and add one position of “Microbiologist (F)”.
Under “Chemical Division”, delete one position of “Chemist III” and add one position of “Chemist - Senior”.
Under “Virology Division”, delete one position of “Virologist III”, delete one position of “Virologist II”, add one position of “Virologist - Senior”, and add one position of “Virologist”.
Under “Microbiology Division”, delete one position of “Lead Microbiologist”, delete two positions of “Microbiologist III”, delete five positions of “Microbiologist II (D)”, add one position of “Microbiologist - Lead”, add two positions of “Microbiologist - Senior”, and add five positions of “Microbiologist (D)”.
Under “Police Department, Technical Communications Division”, delete two positions of “Telecommunications Specialist” and add two positions of “Communications Facilities Coordinator”.
Part 5. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 3, 2017 - January 29, 2017):
Under “Police Department, Information Technology Division”, delete one position of “Office Assistant III” and add one position of “Police Office Supervisor”.
Part 6. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 7, 2017 - March 26, 2017):
Under “Employes’ Retirement System, Fiscal Services”, delete one position of “Pension Accounting Specialist” and add one position of “Pension Accounting Manager”.
Part 7. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 8. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 8, 2016 (March 27, 2016).
Part 9. The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 23, 2016 (October 23, 2016).
Part 10. The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2017 (January 1, 2017).
Part 11. The provisions of Part 5 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 3, 2017 (January 29, 2017).
Part 12. The provisions of Part 6 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 7, 2017 (March 26, 2017).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 13. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
