Resolution directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a document titled “2nd Revision State/Municipal Agreement for a State-Let Highway Project” with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, and construction of North 76th Street (STH 181) Intersection with Hampton Avenue. 

Analysis

This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a revised State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, and construction of North 76th Street (STH 181) Intersection with Hampton Avenue. 

Body

Whereas, A revised project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming, design, and construction of North 76th Street (STH 181) Intersection with Hampton Avenue with Federal and State aid under the State Highway Rehabilitation Program; and

 

Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee of project cost overruns and changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and

 

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be 100 percent liable for project cost overruns and changes in scope as approved by the Department of Public Works; and

 

Whereas, Construction funds for the project were previously established in a separate resolution 221600; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute the revised agreement for the programming, design, and construction of the aforementioned connecting highway project with Federal and/or State aid, copies of which are attached to Common Council Resolution File Number _________, and are incorporated into this resolution by reference as though set forth in full.
