TITL:

Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2000 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.

BODY:

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 990704 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under "Police Department", add footnote "(B)" to read: "(B) Community Safe Driver Program Grant" To expire 9/30/00 unless the Community Safe Driver Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation is extended."

Under "Department of Public Works-Water Works, Plants Decision Unit, Electrical Maintenance", delete one position of "Electrical Services Supervisor I" and one position of "Electrical Mechanic" and add one position of "Electrical Services Supervisor II" and one position of "Plant Automation Specialist."

Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 990704 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2000 - December 26, 1999):

Under "Department of Public Works, Parking Fund", delete one position of "Citation Enforcement Manager" and one position of "Parking Operations Manager (Y)" and add one position of "Parking Enforcement Manager" and one position of "Parking Financial Manager (Y)"; and under "Buildings and Fleet Division, Operations Section", delete one position of "Equipment Operations Manager" and add one position of "Operations and Dispatch Manager."

Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinance contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2000 (December 26, 1999).

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
