Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1998 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Department of Administration, Budget and Management Division", add footnote designation "(Y)" to one position of "City Economist" and under "Milwaukee Printing and Records", delete footnote designation "(Y)" from one position of "Microfilm Technician II."
Under "Assessor's Office, System and Administration Division", add footnote designation "(Y)" to one position of "Assessment Analysis Manager (X)" and one position of "Systems and Administration Supervisor (X)."
Under "Department of City Development, General Management & Policy Development Decision Unit, Information Systems Services", add footnote designation "(Y)" to one position of "Microcomputer Coordinator-Senior" and under "Financial Services and Marketing", add footnote designation "(Y)" to one position of "Housing Program Specialist."
Under "Health Department, Administration Decision Unit, Lead-based Paint Hazard Control Grant (S)", add footnote designation "(Y)" to one position of "Lead Project Coordinator (S)"; under "Municipal Health Services Program Grant", add two positions of "Health Insurance Specialist (X)" and amend footnote "(B)" to read: "To expire 12/31/99 unless the Municipal Health Services Program Grant is extended."; under "Medical Assistance Outreach Grant", delete one position of "Medical Assistance Outreach Manager (X)" and add one position of "Medical Assistance Outreach Coordinator (X)"; under "Public Health Services Decision Unit, Breast Cancer Awareness Grant", delete one position of "Office Assistant II" and amend footnote "(U)" to read: "To expire 12/31/99 unless the Breast Cancer Awareness Grant is extended."; and under "Public Health Services Decision Unit, Women's, Infant's and Children's Nutrition Program Grant (C)", add footnote designation "(Y)" to one position of "WIC Program Coordinator (C)(X)."
Under "Police Department", amend footnote "(S)" to read: "(S) State Beat Patrol Grant: To expire 12/31/99 unless the Beat Patrol Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin, Office of Justice Assistance is extended."
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 26, 1998 - December 13, 1998):
Under "Building Inspection, Plan Examination", delete two positions of "Plan Examiner Specialist" and add two positions of "Plan Examiner II."
Part 3. All ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
