Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2004 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council (Department of Administration, Fire Department, Health Department, Library and Police Department).
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 030415 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Department of Administration, Information and Technology Management Division, Policy and Administration", delete one position of "Project Assistant II" and add one position of "Program Assistant II."
Under "Fire Department, Supporting Services Decision Unit", add one position of "Captain (T)"and add footnote "(T)" to read as follows: "To expire 11/30/05 unless the 2004 Urban Areas Security Initiative grant is extended."
Under "Health Department, Disease Control and Prevention Division, Bioterroism-Focus A Gant (A)", delete one position of "Environmental and Disease Control Specialist (X)(A)" and add one position of "Public Health Emergency Response Planning Coordinator (X)(A)"; under "Maternal & Child Health Division, Women's Infant's and Children's Nutrition Program Grant (C)", delete one position of "Clinic Assistant (Aux.)(X)(C)" and add one position of "Clinic Assistant (X)(C)" and one position of "Office Assistant (Aux.)(C)"; under "Home Environmental Health Division, Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (W)", add two position of "Health Services Assistant II (X)(W)" and one position of "Office Assistant III (W)" and amended footnote "(W)" to read as follows: "To expire 06/30/05 unless the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant is extended. .5 FTE of the Office Assistant III position is funded by the O&M budget through 2004"; under "Congenital Disorders Grant (O)", amend footnote "(O)" to read as follows: "To expire 06/30/05 unless the Congenital Disorders Grant is extended. Also funds .5 of a Clinic Assistant position and .25 FTE of a Public Health Nurse"; under "Administration Division" move the "Bioterrorism Grant (Q) to "Laboratory Services Division" and amend the title to "Bioterrorism Grant - Focus C (Q)" and delete one position of "Epidemiologist (Q)(X)" and one position of "Telecommunications Analyst-Associate (Q)" and amended footnote "(Q)" to read as follows: "To expire 08/31/04 unless the Bioterrorism Grant is extended."
Under "Library, Central Library Decision Unit, Center Library Services Pool", add one position of "Management Librarian."
Under "Police Department, Budget & Finance Division, Budget Section", add one position of "Captain (T)" add footnote "(T)" to read as follows: "To expire 11/30/05 unless the 2004 Urban Areas Security Initiative grant is extended."
Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 3. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
