Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2001 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 000507 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Salary Grade 001, add the title "Credit Services Specialist."
Under Salary Grade 006, add the title "License Division-Special Assistant" with the footnote designation "7/" to read: "7/ Recruitment is authorized up to the eighth step of the range."
Under Salary Grade 009, delete the titles "Consumer Protection Manager" and "Public Health Planning Manager" and add the titles "Consumer Environmental Health Manager" and "Healthcare Access and Services Manager."
Part 2. Section 3 of ordinance File Number 000507 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 252, add the title "Water Treatment Plant Operator."
Create a new Pay Range 291 as follows:

Part 3. Section 7 of ordinance File Number 000507 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Create Pay Range 495 as follows:

Part 4. Section 8 of ordinance File Number 000507 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 599, add the footnote designation "2/" by the title "Facilities Control Specialist" with the footnote to read: "2/ Recruitment may be up to the fifth step of the pay range."
Part 5. Section 20 of ordinance File Number 000507 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 856, delete the title "Assistant Motor Vehicle Operator Instructor" and substitute therefor the title "Vehicle Operations Instructor."
Part 6. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 000507 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective October 16, 2000).
Under Salary Grade 010, delete the title "Information Technology Manager-MFD."
Under Salary Grade 011, add the title "Information Technology Manager-MFD."
Part 7. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 000507 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2001 – December 24, 2000):
Under Salary Grade 008, add the titles "Assistant Accounting Manager" and "Assistant City Payroll Manager."
Under Salary Grade 011, add the title "COMPASS Project Policy Director."
Amend Common Council File No. 000941, adopted January 16, 2001, by adding the effective date of Pay Period 1, 2001 (December 24, 2000) under Salary Grade 005, for the addition of one position of "Lead Project Coordinator (CDBG)."
Part 8. Part II, Section 8 of ordinance File Number 000507 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Delete the paragraph relating to the Administrative Review Appeals Board and recreate it as follows: "Administrative Review Appeals Board: Regular and alternate members of the administrative review appeals board shall be compensated at the rate of $90 per meeting for up to 12 meetings per year."
Part 9. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 10. The provisions of Part 6 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after October 16, 2000.
The provisions of Part 7 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2001 (December 24, 2000).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 11. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after passage and publication.
