Minutes note: Warren Jones, Travaux’s Vice President of Construction, and Kevin Theissen, Travaux’s Project Executive, stated that Common Links Construction LLC has done similar work in the past and performed satisfactorily. Travaux is confident they can do both buildings at the Westlawn sites. Mr. Theissen responded to Directors’ questions regarding pricing and the cost increase in materials. Acting President Hines thanked the Directors for their time and expertise. Director Zepecki congratulated Mr. Hines on his award from the Business Journal for the 40 Under 40 Hall of Fame 2022. WHEREAS, Travaux Inc. solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 58049 during the period November 10, 2021 through December 10, 2021 for Cold-Formed Metal Framing, Gypsum Board, and Insulation for Building 3.4 (Westlawn Renaissance VII) at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and

 

WHEREAS, one sealed bid was received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CST) on December 10, 2021; and

 

WHEREAS, the sealed bid was received and publicly opened on December 10, 2021, during which the bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

 

WHEREAS, Common Links Construction LLC, a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $537,300.00; therefore, be it,

 

RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc. that it hereby authorizes and approves accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Common Links Construction LLC for Cold-Formed Metal Framing, Gypsum Board, and Insulation for Building 3.4 (Westlawn Renaissance VII) at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from Westlawn Renaissance VII Mixed Financing; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of Travaux Inc. be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of Travaux Inc.; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed, the officers of Travaux Inc. may approve such request without any further action of the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc.; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if it is determined that such approval is required; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc. and the officers of Travaux Inc. be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
