Title
Substitute resolution approving construction of nonassessable public improvement projects at various locations.
Analysis
This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Additional funds must be authorized to undertake the following improvements:
Various Aldermanic Districts
Various locations (ST211030135) File Number 021276: Asphalt resurfacing of various streets by contract. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $85,000); and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
9th Aldermanic District
N. 62nd St. - W. Mill Rd. to 725 feet m/l northwest of W. Mill Rd. (WT430033001) File Number 021413: Water main extension. (Developer Water Fund -- $100,000)
14th Aldermanic District
S. Ellen St. - 400 feet m/l north of E. Ohio Ave. to 200 feet m/l south of E. Morgan Ave. (WT410031067) File Number 030040: Relay water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund -- $250,000)
; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the following project be deleted from the 2003 Sewer Program:
