Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1998 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Salary Grade 004, add the title "Water Meter Field Supervisor" with the footnote designation "5/".
Under Salary Grade 006, delete the title "Environmental Health Technology Coordinator."
Under Salary Grade 007, add the title "Environmental Health Technology Coordinator".
Part 2. Section 8 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 594, add the newly-created title "Network Services Coordinator."
Under Pay Range 596, add the newly-created title "Network Services Coordinator-Senior."
Part 3. Section 5 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 14, 1996 - June 30, 1996):
Under Pay Range 430, in footnote "1/", delete the name Kelly Novotny (DPW-Infrastructure).
Part 4. Section 4 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 1997 - December 29, 1996):
Under Pay Range 347 delete the current biweekly rates of pay and substitute the following rates: $1,092.79, 1,112.82, 1,132.86, 1,152.90, 1,179.71.
Part 5. Section 8 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 1997 - December 29, 1996):
Under Pay Range 525, delete the paragraph referring to rates of pay for employees not represented by a certified bargaining unit.
Part 6. Section 10 of ordinance File Number 970830 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 1997 - December 29, 1996):
Delete the rates of pay shown for Pay Ranges 619 through 630 and substitute the following:

Under Pay Range 927, delete and recreate footnote "2/" as follows: "2/ Employees to be paid the following hourly rates for 1997: $9.09, 10.01, 10.86."

Part 16. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 17. The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 14, 1996 (June 30, 1996).
The provisions of Parts 4-8 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 1997 (December 29, 1996).
The provisions of Part 12 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 23, 1997 (November 2, 1997).
The provisions of Parts 9-11 & 13 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 1998 (December 28, 1997).
The provisions of Part 14 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 16, 1997 (July 27, 1997).
The provisions of Part 15 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 3, 1998 (January 25, 1998).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 18. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
