Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2001 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 000508 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Department of City Development, General Management and Policy Development Decision Unit, Economic Development Division", delete one position of "Administrative Assistant II" and add one position of "Credit Services Specialist."
Under "Election Commission", delete one position of "Customer Service Representative I" and add one position of "Customer Service Representative II."
Under "Fire Department, Supporting Services Decision Unit", delete the title "Assistant Motor Vehicle Operator Instructor" and substitute therefor the title "Vehicle Operations Instructor."
Under "Health Department, Maternal and Child Health Division, Health Access and Adult Health", delete one position of "Health Access and Adult Health Manager (X)(Y)" and add one position of "Healthcare Access and Services Manager (X)(Y)."
Under "Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit, TEACH Project Implementation Services Grant", add 30 positions of "Computer Service Aide (G)" and amend footnote "(G)" to read: "To expire 12/31/02 unless the TEACH Project Implementation Service Grant, available from the MPL Foundation and Milwaukee Public Schools is extended."
Under "Department of Neighborhood Services", add one position of "Code Enforcement Assistant Supervisor" and one position of "Office Assistant II (0.5 FTE)."
Under "Department of Public Works-Water Works, Plants-North Organization, Linnwood and North Production", delete five positions of "Water Plant Operator in Charge", five positions of "Water Plant Operator III", five positions of "Water Plant Operator II" and four positions of "Water Plant Operator I"; under "Auxiliary-Emergency", delete one position of "Water Plant Operator in Charge (0.25 FTE)(A)", one position of "Water Plant Operator III (0.25 FTE)(A)" and one position of "Water Plant Operator II (0.25 FTE)(A)" and add twelve positions of "Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator", seven positions of "Water Treatment Plant Operator", two positions of "Auxiliary Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator (0.25 FTE)(A)" and one position of "Auxiliary Water Treatment Plant Operator (0.25 FTE)(A)"; under "Plants-South Organization, Howard and South Water Production", delete five positions of "Water Plant Operator in Charge", five positions of "Water Plant Operator III", five positions of "Water Plant Operator II" and four positions of "Water Plant Operator I" and under "Auxiliary-Emergency", delete one position of "Water Plant Operator in Charge (0.25 FTE)(A)", one position of "Water Plant Operator III (0.25 FTE)(A)" and one position of "Water Plant Operator II (0.25 FTE)(A)" and add twelve positions of "Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator", seven positions of "Water Treatment Plant Operator", two positions of "Auxiliary Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator (0.25 FTE)(A)" and one position of "Auxiliary Water Treatment Plant Operator (0.25 FTE)(A)."
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 000508 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2001 – December 24, 2000):
Under "Department of Administration, Information & Technology Management Division", add one position of "Systems Analyst-Project Leader (M)", one position of "Systems Analyst-Sr. (M)" and one position of "Programmer Analyst (M)" and add footnote "(M)" to read: "(M) Community Mapping, Planning and Analysis for Safety Strategies (COMPASS) Grant. Position authority to expire 12/31/02, or when COMPASS Grant expires."
Under "Comptroller, General Accounting Division", add one position of "Assistant Accounting Manager" and under "Payroll Administrative Division", delete one position of "Assistant Payroll Manager" and add one position of "Assistant City Payroll Manager."
Under "Mayor", add one position of "COMPASS Project Policy Director (M)" and add footnote "(M)" to read: "(M) Community Mapping, Planning and Analysis for Safety Strategies (COMPASS) Grant. Position authority to expire 12/31/02, or when COMPASS Grant expires."
Amend Common Council File No. 000940, adopted January 16, 2001, by adding the effective date of Pay Period 1, 2001 (December 24, 2000) under "Health Department, CDBG Lead Grant (TT)" which deleted one position of "CDBG Lead Program Manager (TT)(X)" and added one position of "Lead Project Coordinator (CDBG)(TT)(X)."
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2001 (December 24, 2000).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after passage and publication.
