Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of four, tax-deed vacant lots for use as green space.
Body
Whereas, The Department of City Development (“DCD”) continuously markets non-buildable, tax-deed and/or City vacant lots to adjoining owners for combination with their existing parcels for use as garden or green space; and
Whereas, Some of the non-buildable inventory lies outside of the geographic boundaries designated by the $1.00 vacant lot resolution and are marketed at a reasonable price to adjoining owners; and
Whereas, Recent marketing efforts have resulted in Offers to Purchase from the following adjoining owners:

Whereas, DCD recommends acceptance of said Offers from said adjoining owners; and
Whereas, Said vacant lots are being sold in an “as is” condition and the City makes no representations as to soil or subsoil condition; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lots are surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said tax-deed vacant lots are declared surplus, that the Offers to Purchase from said adjoining owners are accepted, that the Commissioner of DCD, or assigns, is authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution and that the proceeds from the sales, less a 20 percent disposition cost reimbursement to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund, Account No. 0001-334106.
