Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1998 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Health Department, Administration Decision Unit, Medical Assistance Outreach Grant", add one position of "Medical Assistance Outreach Manager (X)" and add footnote "(N)" as follows: "To expire 9/30/99 unless the Medical Assistance Outreach Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is extended."; under "Immunization Outreach Grant", add one position of "Public Health Aide (X)"; and under "Public Health Services Decision Unit, Immunization Outreach Grant", add one position of "Public Health Nurse (X)" and one position of "Public Health Aide (X)" and add footnote "(R)" as follows: "To expire 9/30/99 unless the Immunization Outreach Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services, is extended."; under "Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Grant" add one position of "Office Assistant II" and delete one position of "Public Health Aide (X)" and amend footnote "(JJ)" to read: "To expire 9/30/98 unless the Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Grant is extended."; under "Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Grant", add one position of "Health Project Coordinator - Tobacco Use Prevention Program (.5 FTE)(X)" and delete one position of "Graduate Intern" and amend footnote "(I)" to read: "To expire 9/30/99 unless the Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Grant, available from the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, is extended."; and under "ASSIST Grant", delete one position of "Health Project Coordinator - Tobacco Use Prevention Program (X)" and delete footnote "(AA)".
Under "Police Department, Administration Decision Unit, Technical Services Bureau, Communications Maintenance Division", delete one position of "Police Electronic Technician" and add one position of ""Electronic Technician."
Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 3. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
