Resolution relating to application, acceptance and funding of additional cadastral mapping projects. (DOA-ITMD)
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Department of Administration-Information Technology Management Division to apply for, accept and fund 2 cadastral mapping projects in the amount of $156,823 from the State of Wisconsin Land Information Board. The area to be mapped is approximately 12 square miles in the City of Milwaukee comprising about 32,700 land ownership parcels.

Whereas, On January 16, 2001, the Common Council adopted File number 001208, resolution relating to application, acceptance and funding for 2 cadastral mapping project; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for additional grant funds from the State of Wisconsin Land Information Board, via the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission acting on behalf of Milwaukee County, for 2 additional digital cadastral mapping projects for an area of approximately 12 square miles in the City of Milwaukee comprising about 32,700 land ownership parcels; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant from June 30, 2001 to December 31, 2002 would cost $156,823, and all costs would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Land Information Board is authorized, and the Department of Administration-Information Technology Management Division shall accept these grants without further approval unless the terms of these grants change as indicated in s.304-81, Milwaukee Code; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2001 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amount for the program titled: "Cadastral
Mapping Project Grants":

2. Create the necessary Grant and Aid Project/Grant and Project/Grant levels; budget against these Project/Grant values the amount required under the grant agreement.

Further Resolved, That these funds are budgeted for the Department of Administration-Information Technology Management Division which is authorized to:
1. Expend from the amount budgeted for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with award date.
2. Transfer funds within the project budget as long as the amount expended for each specific purpose does not exceed the amount authorized by the budget by 10 percent.
